Behind the Lens

Hello, I’m Unnati Naidu, a journalist and photographer who found a home in the stories, emotions, and fleeting moments sport leaves behind.

My journey didn’t follow a straight line. Coming from a medical background, I eventually found my way back to what had always felt instinctive to me: sport, storytelling, and photography. To now live and work within that world is something I carry with quiet gratitude.

Currently, I work at DAZN, where I help shape stories across editorial, photography, and social media. Alongside that, I contribute as a photographer with Sports Press Photo and also served as the Team Photographer for UP Warriorz for the 2026 season of the Women's Premier League.

My work has taken me across some of the biggest stages in sport, from the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup and UEFA Women's Champions League to the AFC Women's Asian Cup, The Hundred, and beyond. Through every tournament, every stadium tunnel, and every quiet moment in between, I’ve been fortunate to witness stories unfolding in real time.

Because the beauty of sport has always lived in the people behind the moments, not just the moments themselves.
